Resumen
Irina Podgorny ha mostrado en sus estudios históricos casos concretos en los que la imaginación y la fantasía coexisten con la ciencia. Sus publicaciones sugieren que, además de la tradición de los textos filosóficos y la práctica de la ingeniería, la ciencia moderna tiene una deuda con la charlatanería. Este ensayo enfoca esa propuesta historiográfica en el marco de planteos diversos que han considerado la interacción entre el conocimiento mítico y el científico.
